The wavelength of reality

Physical reality, i.e. the universe as we perceive it, is set to a very specific frequency.

Our brains are designed to receive at exactly that frequency, thus predetermining that we perceive a mutually recognisable universe which manifests at a material level, rather than at a more fundamental level, i.e. at quantum field level. Thus, we are generally in perceptual agreement about the material nature of this reality. For example, we all perceive that we are living on a planet which we call Earth.

As an analogy, early British television sets had to be manually tuned into exactly the same frequency as that of the signal being emitted by the BBC or ITV. The finer the tuning, the better the reception.

Our brains are finely tuned by design to the wavelength of the physical reality that we are meant to perceive, and which we often generally take for granted as being an independent reality.

However, our brains can be detuned through hallucigenic drugs, lack of sleep, severe mental illness, etc. Then, we begin to ‘see things that aren’t really there’. But, in a sense, they are really there. They are an individual’s distorted perception of the universe because that individual’s receiver (his / her brain) is operating at a dysfunctional frequency.

Thus, it is logical to assume that we can consider the physical universe that we perceive as being an illusion produced by the fact that our brains, if healthy, are tuned to the exact same frequency at which our physical reality has been set.

If more people understood this, then there would be less strife in the world. Afterall, is it worth waging war over an illusion, i.e. something which, at a more fundamental level, isn’t really there?

And the same goes for the accumulation of wealth – another chimera which severely tests our moral nature. Excess material possession is always at the expense of others. And after all, what is wealth other than the accumulation of excess energy which, by law, you can register to yourself as money or possessions? Thus a person with an excess of this energy, despite how lawful the acquisition, denies others their fair share of energy, e.g. in the form of food, housing, access to education, healthcare, etc.

I’m sure that this is exactly what Jesus was teaching us but, in a pre-scientific age, his wisdom was couched in aphorisms and proverbs rather than in equations and quantum fields. Nevertheless, he was imparting fundamental truths, should we wish to listen.

I am a university college lecturer and a published author who takes great delight in speculating about the nature of reality through the use of logic and imagination, i.e. thought experiments. I find it very difficult to accept some of the more lurid concepts in modern physics, e.g. the dysfunctional particle zoo at the heart of the Standard Model of the atom. Similarly, I remain unimpressed by the current definitions of dark energy and dark matter, neither of which have been identified. Furthermore, I also believe that the notion of a 'strong' and 'weak' nuclear force are entirely misleading. Personally, I consider all of the above elusive particles and mysterious forces to be more aligned to science fiction than science fact. Therefore, I have created this website in order to offer a more rational, simplified and connected vision of our universe. All of my theories are logically consistent, and all questions about the nature of the universe are resolved - apart from the biggest question of all. Why does anything exist in the first place?
